The third or fourth version of perfection submitted by willow on August 2, 2016, 3:58pm So, Cook's Illustrated is a magazine that publishes perfect recipes, developed after trying lots of other people's recipes and then working out the kinks and solving common problems, because, basically, the world is so full of disgusting, tasteless, soggy food that it's a wonder you made it to adulthood. And then they publish books, and then there's that tv show. And then there is an alternate version of reality in Cook's Country, which may be in sharp contrast with the advice given in Cook's Illustrated. Well, behind all that, the (former) man in charge of the whole shebang, the amazing bow-tie-wearing Chrostopher Kimball, has HIS own take on what perfection is. This is his take on basically all the exact same favorites, like apple pie and sugar cookies. Yay.
