Girl Power! submitted by Beth Manuel on July 13, 2015, 1:33pm This book was recommended to me by a patron and I loved it! It's always rewarding to see a character keep trying at something until her goal is achieved. Plus it was a motivator for girls interested in inventing things.

This is a very good book submitted by EllieN-W on July 31, 2015, 4:29pm This is a very good book if you like building

Nice book! submitted by elizatsou on July 22, 2018, 10:09pm Encourage girls to ask questions and be creative! We love this book. Perfect for our 5 year old daughter.

Girl power! submitted by halliejewell on August 16, 2018, 8:34am Amazing story about being different, taking risks, using your brain, never giving up, it’s about multi-generations of girl power!

Amazing! submitted by conklinm on July 2, 2019, 9:56pm I have read this to my Young Fives classes and my own children multiple times and they love it! It is asked for over and over again.

One of my favorites submitted by TLW1998 on July 21, 2019, 10:21am This is a great book about a girl child engineer. The story line is nice, and it rhymes. The pictures are interesting. It is an excellent book to show girls examples of other girls doing engineering. I love it! My daughter loves it too.

STEM for Kids submitted by Meginator on June 21, 2020, 4:15pm This book has a charming story, nice rhythmic flow, and a good message, teaching readers that failure is (especially in the realm of engineering and related pursuits) an integral part of the creative process. The illustrations convey the whimsy of Rosie Revere’s inventions, which have some charming Rube Goldberg-inspired intricacy to them, and one memorable spread includes facts about female aviation pioneers subtly worked into the story. I also loved that the book focuses on a female lead character in a stereotypically male role without drawing attention to her gender; Rosie Revere simply *is* an engineer, and that’s an important message. Overall, this is a great book that will encourage all kids who enjoy tinkering.

Great submitted by Xris on June 16, 2023, 12:34am Great reminder to kids that we learn from our mistakes and failures, so they're a good thing. Will be a series to get grandkids.

My kid's an engineer now! submitted by kasiaholden on June 20, 2023, 9:15pm Reading this book to my 6 year old daughter made her realize that all the building and creating she likes to do is called engineering and she's been hooked ever since. It's helped her see mistakes as positive and foster a growth mindset. Overall, great read and introduction to engineering for young kids!
